"My name is Jayci, and I have a very unique relationship with color. I am a painter driven to share the emotion of color on canvas. My arrangement of shapes and lines vary throughout my work relying heavily on music and what my eye has seen that week. Color to me is like having a song stuck in your head and you must sing it, my brain demands I lay that color on canvas. For this particular piece, the colors of the sunset in June down in the Carolinas lean heavily in the pinks and the reflection of blue water shows the mixture of the two. My personal favorite, I add all these waves that allow for your eye to move across the canvas. My goal is for you to see a new color or pattern each time you take a look."
