Will my shoes stink up the rest of my bag if I keep them in the shoe compartment?
The shoe compartment is quite well-ventilated and you can rest assured that under normal circumstances, the smell of your shoes will not contaminate the rest of the contents in your bag. However, we recommend keeping your shoes in a small bag - like a plastic bag or soft drawstring bag - before you stow them away into the shoe compartment. This is to prevent the dirt on your shoes from rubbing off on the bag's interior. Especially if they're wet! Wet shoes will generate a smell no matter where they are, as long as they're in an enclosed space with limited movement. We do not recommend keeping wet shoes directly in the shoe compartment if you're concerned about smell.

Is the bag slash-proof?
We won't say the bag is slash-PROOF, but it is highly slash-resistant. 1680D ballistic nylon is known for its extreme durabililty and hardiness - that's why it's used in the military. Some properties you'd be delighted to know about the 1680D ballistic nylon fabric are:

1. high mildew-resistance and water resistance. It will survive some heavy downpours and keep the insides dryer than you'd imagine.
2. high anti-abrasive properties allows it to withstand some tough abuse.
3. the word "ballistic" isn't for show! The very same ballistic fabric was layered multiple times to create anti-fragmentation ballistic jackets in the Vietnam War. It doesn't tear easily due to its incredible durability.
